TOP 10 FAVORITE GAME SOUNDTRACKS

I always listen to video game music when I develop my own games or applications, so I’d like to share what I listen to. Here are my top 10 favorite video game soundtracks EVER. Below each listing is a YouTube of one of my favorite tracks from each soundtrack.

10. Age of Empires
Ancient rythms and style mashed with 90’s digital instruments. Epic combo.

9. Minecraft
I’m not big into Minecraft but gosh the vanilla soundtrack is great. Very relaxing

8. Fallout 3 (Galaxy News Radio)
Nothing beats listening to upbeat 1940’s Jazz while you V.A.T.S. something in the face in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Possibly my favorite game of all time.

7. The Swapper
Spooky yet beautiful. Also a great puzzle game

6. FTL: Faster Than Light
Soooo, I havent played this yet 😐 but the OST is great! My go-to soundtrack for when I’m coding

5. Halo 2
Halo 2 tops all other Halo games in both its soundtrack and gameplay. The remastered version is quite awesome as well.

4. World of Warcraft
It’s ridiculous how many tracks there are in this game…all of them great. Each expansion adds more tracks and enhances previous tracks, making it the best game to grind πŸ˜€

3. Fez
Too many good things to say about this soundtrack, so I’ll just let you listen for yourself

2. Hotline Miami Saga
80’s/90’s synth rave on steroids. Goes perfectly with the game

1. The Elder Scrolls (Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim)
Over 100 tracks between all 3 of these games, and all of them are incredible. Each OST fits perfectly into their game.

You can check out my mega huge playlist of video game music which includes tracks from these OSTs as well as many of my other favorite game soundtracks HERE. Put it on shuffle and become crazy productive πŸ˜€
